Today, our Crisis Response Team met to review and discuss our crisis response plan. While we hope these measures will never be needed, we are committed to being prepared should a situation arise.

Our goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community by having a plan in place that allows us to respond effectively and with care.

Clinton Elementary Awarded USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Grant

We are thrilled to announce that Clinton Elementary has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) for the 2025-2026 school year. This grant will provide all our elementary students with a variety of free, fresh fruit and vegetable snacks throughout the
school day. The FFVP is designed to introduce children to a wide array of produce they might not have had
the opportunity to sample.

This creative and effective program helps to:
 Encourage students to explore new, healthy foods.
 Increase the overall consumption of fruits and vegetables among our students.
 Create a healthier school environment and promote lifelong healthy eating habits.

Through this program, students at Clinton Elementary will receive a healthy snack of fresh
fruits or vegetables at least twice per week during non-meal times. Each snack will be
accompanied by bite-sized nutrition lessons to help our students learn about the importance of
healthy eating. The school plans to begin distributing these healthy snacks on October 1, 2025.
The program aligns with our school's commitment to student wellness and academic success.
We are excited to see our students discover new flavors and establish healthy relationships
with food.

About the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP)
The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program is a federally funded program intended to increase fruit
and vegetable consumption among elementary school students. In Arkansas, the FFVP is
administered in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture.
